Brook House – The Hub Premier Inn

Avison Young were appointed as project managers to oversee the completion after the original main contractor went into liquidation.

The building is a Grade II listed building that comprised of 25,000 sq. ft of office property and converted into a 168-bedroom hotel for Premier Inn owner Whitbread.

Leonari were appointed on this project to complete the Mechanical and Public Health installation. This was a complex and delicate task as we had no record of works that the previous contractors had completed.

Our first critical task was to carry out an intrusive 6-week validation of all the Mechanical and Public Health systems to identify the extent of works required to complete including any deviance from the existing specification. This uncovered various issues that were presented with viable solutions to the client.

Our works on this project involved the completion of the Fire Rated Ventilation and VRF systems serving each of the bedrooms and restaurant area including the associated Domestic and Public Health systems.

‍

Once all systems were completed, Leonari carried out the commissioning of all systems with final sign off by Building Control.
